Hi,

MSFS uses a separate gltf file for each LOD. There is one model XML that links everything together.

I typically convert all textures to png in the material editor, before I run the model through the MSFS package tool.

I typically use the structure of the SDK samples, I don't even now which other structures the package tool supports.

Arno, when converting the textures does it matter which GLTF-LOD file I choose? Should i choose atlaLOD0.gltf or LOD4.gltf. I know one has greater detail than the other. I am learning this with your expertise and assistance. Many thanks.

Hi,

I would do the texture conversion already when you load the mdl. So before you save the glTF files. That way you are sure you have all textures. Else you need to do each gltf file.

ok. Just so i am clear. import the mdl file in MDCX and convert the textures. When done, then convert the mdl to gltf, Right?
