• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Radar session COM TX Ident code question

I have been trying to figure out a way to see which person is talking over the COM radio at any given moment. There are times when the COM radio is abused in multiplayer sessions and it would be useful to know who is keying their mic at that moment. What code could be added to show a keyed mic? A possible indicator could be a change in font color for that persons TX FREQ line. I am new to xml coding although my grey hairs might lead you to believe otherwise! :)
Thanks in advance for helping me help some others!

I looked into this when FSX was first released, at it seemd such an obvoous thing one would like to know, when in a MP session.

The problem is, that there is no Simconnect support for telling who is currently transmitting. What would be a nice feature would have been an option to display in a gauge, a list of anyone transmitting on the frequency(s) one is listening on.

Nothing is impossible, so I am not saying it cannot be done, but not via "current" simconnect.

Maybe in FS11 ??

Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the info. Maybe Microsoft can build that into the ATC Radar for Flight Sim 11 as you suggested. We are always trying to help folks in our sessions but sometimes we have kicked out someone who was innocent in an effort to eject the offending person.
Again, thanks
John
