• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Hi guys,

So does anyone have any experience with these gauges? I am looking at adding a failure module to my Trislander project and was looking at these, but to me it looks quite difficult and challenging to setup and get working properly as it involves editing of various parameters to get the desired results. I would like to look at other alternatives or if someone does have any experience with this, at least help me setup a profile for the Trislander aircraft. Any thoughts?

A rewrite of RE and an exapnsion to other types of engines is on my bucket list. This isn't going to reduce the required engine parameters, but is mostly aimed at reducing its 342132589325 gauge files to one or two.

Most limitations can be obtained from a web search or the type certificate, the rest may be filled in with educated guesses.

I have the type certificate data sheet on hand for the Islander and Trislander, just getting the engine parameters from the TCDS to RE is quite the chore and not for a beginner to accomplish. I've never used RE, so I wouldn't even know where to begin as there are way too many lines to edit/configure. Since you are rewriting RE, I'll be your test guinea pig :D Since I want to add the failure module to the Trislander (but at a very later date), whatever you come up with I wouldn't mind trying out on the aircraft.

Hello!

Adding a damage mod to the Flight1 Islander was on my to-do list, but real life has taken its toll lately (baby + new house...).
Ismail Hazzi Güzel's Damage Mods seem to be the latest instance of Real Engine.
I finished a tutorial (in French) started by Lagaffe to explain how to add a DM to a plane on Pilote Virtuel ( http://www.pilote-virtuel.com/viewtopic.php?id=61820 ), hopefully you can extract something valuable from it.

There is a readme included and the .ini file is annotated, so it's best to start right there.
