• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

[REFERENCE] FSX Scenery Library Object Catalog

I could host them if it wouldn't take a lot of work and there aren't any copyright issues. Just let me know what's involved.

Sorry for the late reply. No issues. BUT! 1 5GB MySQL DB needed. 33K files, but in ZIP, however about 27GB of data total ...

I'd have to look into what it would take to import a SQL database that is that big. And it would be a few weeks before I have time to work on it. I'll check back when I get some time.

I'm sorry man. I am not sure how I did it, but I typed and posted the wrong numbers for the Database. The actual DB is only 900KB, but the files are about 25GB compressed. Also, to make things easier, with a simple script you could just WGET the files straight from my server to yours (I will write you a script if you need).

That sounds much more manageable. I am moving all of my web business away from GoDaddy so it will be just a little bit before I have everything set up at PowWeb, so I'll shoot you a message once I'm ready for the files. If there isn't much of a learning curve regarding the WGET script, that would be good. Otherwise, it shouldn't be too much trouble to import the files with FileZilla would it?

HA! That's what I am doing too! LOL! THEY THROTTLE DOWNLOADS NOW AT 1.3MB/s!!!! They suck!

Your questions: No. That's fine too. Although, with the WGET method, you command line the script once, and it takes it from my server and puts it directly on your server. Either way is fine with me.

Hey crush, here is an invite to my Discord, if you would rather talk, than type.

(anyone that wants to talk to me is free to join, as well)

I remember when 1.3 kb/s was pretty fast!

WGET sounds like a better option since it skips downloading from your server and uploading to mine steps.

Uploading my huge terrain files would take longer than actually creating them sometimes, when I would have to start the upload process over a few times. But that was back in the GoDaddy days, so maybe the new hosting provider is faster.

Hello again, everyone! I hope all is well with you! Sorry for the long delay, and for the site actually getting shut down, but I can't afford it anymore, and have been taking every job I can to get by. Things have plateaued for me, and as such, I have uploaded the files for the SCENERY LIBRARY to my Google Drive. It is FREE for anyone to use. However, the code never made it to the "refactor" stage, and is the raw, it works code.

Someone please give this library a home!

*** EDIT ***
The images files MUST STAY ZIPPED (.zip - there are over 35K+) for the scripts to work properly!
also let me know if I forgot the SQL script to create the database ...

I´ve try download over 15x, but all get a error during download, 24gb is very large. Your site is very very important for developer people.

You can divide the file (im think the images are larger, and divide in "many files" of *.bgl zip for each image pack help us! Im brazilian, 100mb of ADSL connection... 24gb is a nightmare file.
