Hi,
Yesterday I decreased the size of a texture for a ship, from 1014x1024 to 512x512, directly in the texture folder, without anything else (no recompiling of the MDL nor the scenery). The result was a less detailed (and weightless) texture but the operation was successfull.
Do I have to conclude that the scenery or the model "inside" it recalculates the texture coordinates? Is it have a relation with the mip-maps procedure? Can I do the same operation on any scenery or model? Can I reduce the texture in a more drastic proportion (ex : from 1024x1024 to 256x256)?
Thanks.
