FSXA RESOLVED! Unhandled Exception with Convert and Place Object Wizard

Hi and apologies if this problem has been posted already - I did search, honestly!

O.K. - I've a very simple Collada model made with Blender 2.79. Imports into MCX 1.3.0.0 without problem and displays correctly.

When I select the Convert and Place Wizard, I get an Unhandled Exception pop-up message:

OLD_MCX_Portacabin_Location_Export_24Feb19.jpg

Nevertheless, the Addon Scenery\scenery folder gets the converted bgl and the original bmp textures appear as DDS files in Addon Scenery\texture.

And, the object appears correctly positioned in FSX.

So, I'm a happy bunny - but just wish the Unhandled Exception pop-up didn't appear!

Any ideas, folks?

Cheers - Dai.

P.S. And the same Unhandled Exception pop-up appears when I use the Development Release Package, too ...

Hi,

Version 1.3 is really old, so use the development release. Can you see additional details for the error, like the stack trace? Then I can maybe see where the problem occurs.

Hi Arno - tried again, using dev version of MCX (not 1.3.0)

First image shows successful completion after Convert and Place Wizard, together with inset FSX view of correctly located object.

Second image shows that the Unhandled Exception pop-op message appears when you try any operation with MCX - it just appears! Image also shows correctly updated scenery and texture folder contents (bgl and DDS files).

I've also uploaded the 'details' of the Unhandled Exception. If this isn't the stack trace you require, please let me know how to retrieve this info.

Like I said before, I'm quite happy - MCX is doing what it should but the pop-up message may mean that, in future, I may run into other problems.

Thanks again for your help.

Cheers - Dai.

Hi,

This is the stack trace, you I'll try to reproduce it.

Are you using the latest development release, I fixed a bug two weeks ago that might be related to this.

Hi Arno - just installed latest dev release - seems like the same problem with this version, sorry!
Cheers - Dai.

OK, thanks for checking. I'll try to reproduce the error.

Hi,

Good news for you. I can reproduce the error. Let me try to fix it now :)

Fixed it now, so in the next development release it will work. This bug must have been there for years already, surprising that you are the first one to report it. Thanks!

Sorry, Arno - been away - missed your post but Thanks for confirming! As I said, the Convert and Place works perfectly, just me being pedantic about the pop-up message!!
Very best wishes - Dai.
