• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

E-book description:
This e-Book teaches step by step how to create a 3D computer model of a historical aircraft. It also contains an introduction to the modelling program (Blender 3D). This is a basic guide, so you can start to read it as a beginner, and you will finish on a solid intermediate level. It is an excerpt from larger publication, but also a complete book on its own. This third edition describes Blender 2.7. To learn more about "Virtual Airplane" and get free trials, visit *>> www.airplanes3d.net

Very good publication that I bought in 2013 (version 2 - Blender 2.5) at lulu.com.
It's a didactive document but illustrated with a old version of Blender. Actually, version 3 is published in Polish and free so ;)

Good book, I have one copy of this. I also recommend "Learning Blender: A Guide to Creating 3D Animated Characters (2nd Edition)" offers a guide to getting started with Blender. The 2nd edition is relatively modern, with instructions geared towards Blender 2.78b. He will also guide you through key tasks in 3D modeling. You will learn how to create a 3D character, add textures, materials and shading. You will also learn how to build and animate your character with a skeleton. By the way, you can find quite a lot of reviews of good modeling books on YouTube. I found a couple of dozen videos of similar content and noticed that most often they had about 53 thousand views! I am sure this is because their authors buy youtube views to quickly increase their number.
