• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Restore Purchases?

Hi all!

I bought a lot of the DLC for flight, like Hawaii and Alaska and several of the a/c. I've gotten a new computer, is it possible to restore my purchases?

Yup, got it and all taken care of. I've seen screenshots of other parts of the world in Flight, can other users do that? If I use the map view to go anywhere other than Hawaii and Alaska, I just see an endless ocean.

You need to have a copy of FSX that doesn't have 3rd party addons installed, and then you should be able to. I'm not sure where the instructions are but hopefully someone can point you to them.

To do the conversion, you can use one of the batch files (FSX or FSX-SE) posted by user rhumbaflappy in this thread.

Make sure to adjust the paths if needed to the ones on your system. You can put the respective batch file in the "flight tools" folder inside the "program files" folder of windows. This should also contain the sub-folder "Flight Toolkit". After the conversion, make sure to activate "World Region UI" and "FSX World" in the Flight Addon Manager of the toolkit.

Or you follow KavindaJD's "best answer" in this thread using the addon-option. This uses the archive option, allowing you to create the file conversion on a different machine to then transfer it to the machine where Flight is installed.
