• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hey, first sorry about my bad english.

I got this error, though ive installed the cat_installer_runtime.exe...

the model was at the beginning a complex modell, but when i didt not work i built a easy model, and som animation... but did still not work

Can someone help me?
 
Hi,

This error does not seem to be caused by a missing DLL file or so. I think it is something inside the ASM file you are using that causes the crash. Can you send me your ASM files (or attach them here in the forum)?

This is very weird. I can process this file without trouble on my PC here. Are you using version 1.01 of CAT?
 
Yes, vers 1.01. I shall try to do it one more time (i follow the vidtutorial). If not working i reinstall the prog.
 
Ok, it didn't work. Ive reinstalled and still not work. Heres what ive done, do I anything wrong?

I was just about to ask what settings you used :). No, everything you have done looks correct.

I also tried to run your files both with the comma and dot set as decimal character, but both worked fine here. How have you configurated windows? Does it use the comma or the dot as decimal character?
 
Very weird. All sounds totally correct and with the same settings I can compile the file here without any trouble. So at the moment I have no idea what goes wrong. I will have to think deeper about this problem, sorry :(.
 
That OK, Its a greate program though (if it worked on my pc :rolleyes: ). I gues if i need somthing with CAT YOU would have to compile it for me! :o
 
Well, I do have the MDL that I compiled here during the testing. Maybe it is useful for you :).

I had the same problem until I changed decimal symbol to comma (,), after that it worked fine. Default setting for my language is also comma but I had changed it to decimal (.) earlier because some programs don't work with comma. It doesn't make much sense if it works for Arno with both symbols though :rolleyes:
 
Thanks for reporting this anyway. I will take another look at the performance with both this settings when I update CAT.

But - i have the same problem. No problem when set comma as the decimal point. Otherways it produces this runtime error 13. :rolleyes:

No, but can you send me the ASM files are were using? Then I can try if I can reproduce the problem on my PC as well.

Okay, here you get the ASM-files to try it out.

By the way (as i'm new to the CAT utility) - is it possible to trigger the same event by 2 different triggers, for example opening the same hangar door by 2 different frequency ranges like 1300h - 1310h and 1350h - 1360h?

I'd like to build a kind of opening matrix for several doors, which is only fully possible by the ability of using such intermittent ranges...
(didn't have the time to figure it out so far...)

No, that is not possible by default. To get an effect like that, you have to tweak the ASM manually a bit to get a different kind of trigger. I can post the code here if you wish.

Got your files, but just like the previous poster of this question I could not reproduce the error, so I have no real idea what goes wrong. I will try later today to reproduce it on a different PC.
