Runway lighting

Hello!

I have a question which I hope someone can solve.

I'm making a custom runway and atm I'm trying to get the lights to work properly, I used the BGL_LIGHTS way but as nothing seems to fix the low visibility issue I would like to hear if there's any other ways of making runway lights?

Johan

Other option some people use is to place a SCASM-style runway that has an invisible surface. That way only the lights will show up.

Yes I know, problem is that my runway covers an addon airport runway (it's dimensions are outdated) and I can't make the scasm runway end up on top of my runway.

Oh, and what about my approach masts? They are a 4 lighted configuration and I want the lights to end up following my masts, is that possible? Without having them shining all day long that is.

Hi,

How did you make those masts? It should be possible to add a condition so that they only show at night and dusk/dawn.

Well, I used GMAX, thing is that their lights doesn't show up in low visibility. And I still can't make the SCASM lights end up on top of my custom runway.
It's because the only way for me to overlap the addon airports runway was to use high layer numbers.
In order for my SCASM lights to work correctly I would need them to be at layer 44 or so. Do you think that's possible?

Hi,

I think you can put a LayerCall command around the SCASM runway as well. Not sure if there is a maximum on the layer though, but a test will quickly show that.
