• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi!

See the picture attached this post. The runway is actually starting IN the water, thats right. But how do I fix this graphical bug? See picture. Any bright ideas are welcome :)

Some addon has placed the lake there? That's what it looks like with the artifacts scattered in the lake?

The airfield could be nudged further towards the land, but if there are any approaches setup for the airfield that's a tricky proposition. If there are none, then either ADE or FSX Planner would allow you to move the airfield back onto solid ground. Either SBuilderX or FSX KML would allow you to take out the old airport background (flattened area) and allow you to place a new one, again entirely on ground.

This is actually a model of an airfield NOT being build yet, but it will be build on the exact same location as on my model. And the runway will actually start in the middle of a little lake. This airport has been build using AFX and Instant scenery from Flight 1. But I want to get rid of the graphical artifacts here, and make solid ground just around the runway. I tried to extend the flatten file, but it didn't help much on the water problem, as you see on the picture. I think this graphical artifact is being created by the scenery/terrain engine itself in FSX. Because if the runway goes over water, some strange things start to happen, like you see on the picture above. But is there any workaround?
