• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v3 SAMM2 UI Size

Upon starting SAMM2, the User Interface is properly displayed.
However, "after" the first conversion, the UI window is reduced to a size that is nearly unreadable. Thus, I have to end SAMM2 and restart.
My windows resolution is: 4k x 2k, 3840 x 2160.
I have attached screen shots of both scenarios.
What am I doing wrong?

Lemon, you'll have to be a little more specific. I see no difference between the two screenshots save that most of the fields are disabled (intentionally) in the first. I don't have any difficulty reading either.

Don, my mistake :), I just did a screen snip of the SAMM2 window in both cases...and you are correct...they both look the same due to the "snip".
I have redone this and expanded each scenario to "full screen" and then snipped it.
Here is the result that shows the initial SAMM2 window (Capture 1) and the SAMM2 window (Capture 2) after the first conversion.
Hope this clarifies...sorry for the mixup on the earlier pics.

I have never seen this before. ( But, then again, I don't have a 4k screen.) It appears as though the dialog has been grossly resized. As for the resizing after save, that appears to be due to a change in Font size.

SAMM does not control overall window size. Nor does it control font size. It draws the controls based on the current font size. I suggest you enlarge the screen font, then resize the window just so it contains the SAMM controls, and close and reopen SAMM.

Don, thanks for sharing the details on how SAMM does not control the window size.
Based on that fact, I found the solution is with Win10.
The fix:
1. Right click on the SAMM2 executable.
2. Select "Properties"
3. Select the "Compatibility" Tab
4. Select "Change high DPI settings"
5. Check the box "Override high DPI scaling behavior"
6. "Scaling Performed by" drop-down will activate.
7. Select from this drop-down: System(Enhanced)
8. Accept the changes and SAMM2 UI will not change due as I have experienced.
FYI, in case others on Win10 with a UHD display encounter this problem.
