• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.

    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Hello,
I want to ask you about Satelite Image. I search the satelite image for Kutaisi Airport UGKO, but I don't know Where I find new, amazing and free satelite image. Google quality is very bad, yahoo and bing it's same. Have You any idea? Please talk me.

Hi,

There is no easy answer for this. If Google only has bad images, it might be that for that region they are hard to get.

You might want to check if the national geo-office offers some data for free, but I doubt that's the case for Georgia. Else I'm afraid the only options are commercial image providers.

Btw, the Google EULA doesn't even allow you to use that imagery in your project.
 
What is the actual purpose of you wanting satellite imagery Kuba?
- Do you want it to be used as bitmap / texture ground polygon underneath your own airport?
- Do you want to use the satellite imagery only for measurement?
For that purpose you can also use other satellite imagery suppliers like open street maps -> http://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=UGKO#map=15/42.1750/42.4834
