FS2004 Sbuilder seasonal problem

Hello,
I've created a VTP Photo Scenery with SBuilder9 with all seasons available. The bgl and bmps are created correctly, but I've a problem as during fall, the texture of winter are loaded. Same behavior for spring. With Summer I've no problem.
Obviously the texture are correctly colored for each season. Any hints?

Hi,

Did you check the seasons definition for your region to be sure that fall and spring are not defined to be very short?

Mmhh not yet... but accordingly to the seasons range found in the wiki, for example, my seasonal groundpoly works perfectly.
What you said Arno would be correct, but in case, why the rest of the scenery are colored correctly? I mean, during fall, the main color of ground is brown but in my photoscenery the winter texture are loaded.
Is there any SBuilder settings I've to change?

Hi,

If all the other elements switch fine, I don't think that is the problem indeed.

And you made textures for all seasons? I remember you need to have them all for it to work correctly.

Yes, I've created the texture for all seasons, including HW and nightmap. If I check the bitmaps created by resample, they are all ok. The problem is the switch among seasons.
I've also tried to remove all the rest of BGLs (thought about conflicts) but nothing happened. My groundpoly with seasonal texture works perfectly :(

Hi Ras,

So just to confirm - in SBuilder - you've called up that map configuration screen - the one that lists each texture for each season and they are all correctly pointing to the appropriate image ? The path doesn't usually fit in the window and you have to click on each field to make sure it is set correctly...

Then I would triple check and make sure that the output BMP's are all correctly colored... Keep in mind - if you play with SBuilder photo tiles - you can have them loaded in two different locations... Some are placed in "scenery/world/texture" and others can be put in your projects "texture" folder...

Finally - after spending weeks playing with SBuilder photo tiles - determined SBuilder photo tiles can't use autogen - which rendered them useless for my needs.. I switched back to Resampler...

Regards,
Scott

Yes for each season there is the correct bitmap. After the creation of the single bmps, if I open one these with postfix "su.bmp" or "wi.bmp", the color match against the season.

Yes, the BMP are in "scenery\world\texture" and the BGL it's in mine "scenery" project.

Well, I tried to creare a photoscenery also using Photo Scenery Maker or the resampler of SDK2004 making INF and BAT files, but nothing changes. I'm going crazy!!! :banghead:

Hi Ras,

If you run both "Resampler" and "SBuilder" and get the same result - haven't a clue...

I would maybe double-check to make sure you didn't place the files in another scenery folder by accident ?

Maybe post your "inf" file to make sure it looks right ?

Check this post - for FS9 - right ? Jim was kind enough to put together a complete working model that saved me many days of figuring Resampler out on my own... Try starting with his example - it's in a completely different location than you are working now - and - it worked for me... It sometimes helps to step back for a fresh perspective...

I'm still pretty new - so I'm probably not going to be much help...

Last night I changed the .INI file of SBuilder in order to have different day-range in terms of seasons. I will try again to create my bgl file, let's see if something will change, otherwise I have to throw away the photoreal scenery

Well, I've just tested the new bgl produceb by SBuilder with INI modified. Nothing changed, f@@k!!!!!! I will abandon the idea of a photoscenery, damn

Hi Ras,

Sorry - I don't understand... Maybe something is mangled in your area ?

I did this with both SBuilder and Resampler - it does work....

I have a clean FS2004 installation, no plugin, no modules, just the default sceneries plus mine. I can send the Sbuilder project to anybody would help me...
