• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello, i was wondering if there is any tutorials for scenery and Airport design for 2004 FS. I mean fom A to Z,Kindergarten to Guru or when perhaps we could expect a 2004 update, regards Patrick.

Hi Patrick,

This is a very general question. I think we will never see one tutorial about scenery design, because there is very much to say about scenery design.

I think it is better to ask if you have a specific problem, as for many small problems there will be tips and tricks. But one tutorial about scenery design at all is just not possible. Too much work to write and by the time it is ready it will be obsolete as the new FS is there.

Thanks for your reply, have been away,it really is a pity that a general tutorial cannot be generated but undestand the reasons,it would save a lot of trial and error for the :banghead: novice as it becomes expensive buying the wrong gear as i have done or think i have, you tend to throw the hands up,i see FSD avail but only 2002 as well FS Architect.dampens the enthusiasm, thanks Pat. :(

Instead of a lot of trial and error you can also ask more often on forums like the AvSim scenery design forum or here. It might sound stupid to have to answer all those questions, but there are a lot of scenery designers hanging around these two places who love to answer your questions. Especially if the question shows that you have been trying to get something done or have thought about it yourself first.
