• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Scenery beta testing (2002 and 2004)

Hi folks,

Long time reader and first time poster here! Hope this is appropriate for this forum...

A couple years ago, we started making some scenery for the beautiful island and national park of Rubondo, Tanzania. Since we are rather pleased with how it came out, and thinking that maybe, somewhere in the world there might be one or two people who might also enjoy it a bit, we decided to put it all together to make it available for download.

The scenery features landclass and waterclass, waterholes (LWM), a little airstrip, camping ground, AI traffic, wildlife, and some sounds here and there (FS2002 only). The main version is for FS2002, but a simplified FS2004 version (sans sounds and Lago FSSE objects) is available as well for those who particularly want it.

To make sure we got all the files gathered up correctly for the download, we would be really grateful if someone would help use out by downloading and trying it, to make sure it all works right. The scenery is 'finished' (has been for a couple years ;)) and has been thoroughly tested by us already, so there shouldn't be any bugs in the scenery itself; all that needs testing is the packaging, instructions and so on. It shouldn't take more than an hour, at most.

If you feel like spending an hour or so on testing it, and if you have FS2002 with LAGO's FS Scenery Enhancer and/or FS2004, the link for the beta versions (release candidates) are right here:

Thanks for helping us out, we really do appreciate it! :)

All the best,
- Björn & Tia
