FS2004 Scenery Lighteffect Problem

Hi!
A Freind is working on a Scenery and has a Problem with some light effects provided from FSDS 3?
Since he does not speak english I am asking for him ;)

On the Runway he has put the Papi Lights (2 Dots) with AFCAD and you can see them from a fare off!
At the Baseline of the Runway he has put in FSDS a Line of Lights (7 Dots) using a effect. The thing is you only can see them if you are already very close to the Airport.
The question is, is there something he could change to make them visible from a fare of?

Thanks for any Help!!

Hi,

As far as I know that is a limitation of effect files. The default runway lighting is hard coded in the scenery engine and has a much higher visibility range.

You could try to put the light effects on the same position, they will for sure get brighter, but I'm not sure if it will enlarge it's range...

I'm stuck with the lightning system on my side too, the FS engine has quite a weird way of thinking :D
