• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Scenery Wont Change after using instant scenery

Instant Scenery problem, Pls help

Frustrated here, I was using instant scenery and used the load scenery option and loaded scenery from some areas while i was in KTCM, mcchord AFB, foolishly i thought i could use the scenery in those BGL files but what i did not realize that it was putting the all the scenery from that BGL in my area. I actually tried two different BGL files before realizing all this. When i did realize my mistake, i did not save I just exited instant scenery, ended flight and reloaded scenery.
Now i keep getting all the scenery from my mistake. I even deleted my addon of my scenery but it even shows up in the default scenery of KTCM.
Can anyone help me get rid of the all the extraa scenery. I have 3 airport scenery scattered all over KTCM. I looked in scenery.cfg, nothing there, I looked in folder 104 of scenery.Is there a cfg files that lets you know what has been altered or added.
I was under the assumption if a addon scenery was a higher level than the default then it would not use lower scenery.How does loading scenery while using instant scenery make all the scenery from 3 airports appear. I cannot use the delete or move function becuse it says no Instant scenery files loaded. Bummmer cause i was so close to finshing this scenery. The AFCAD is accurate to Tee since i work on flightline. Anyone interested in this more than welcome to it. Wondering is my only recorse is to reload FSX. Thanks for any help

When you add scenery objects with Instant Scenery, these are compiled into a new BGL. If I remember right this BGL goes into the "..\Addon Scenery\Scenery" folder.

Have a look there and see if there is one (or several) BGL(s) with a file date from when you added your scenery objects. If so, move it/them out of the folder onto your desktop and restart the simulator.

If you problem is gone, you can delete the BGL file(s) from your desktop. Otherwise move it/them back.
