separation plane offset

Hello,

I would like to create an approach light system using BGL lights. My problem is that separation plane is calculated according the mdl center point. Is there any way to make an offset, means to use a different center point? Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, the 4th argument of the command is the offset along the normal vector.

Thanks Arno! With some experimenting I realised the 32768 is equal to 1 meter.
So if I have a light 50 meters distance from the reference point of the mdl the vector should be 1.638.400

Just to sum if somebody looking for the same question.

Correct. The length is multiplied by the length of the vector specified with the first three arguments,

Hello,

to make sure I have it right,

the SEPARATION_PLANE structure of parameters is

label, normvec_x, normvec_z, normvec_y, distance_desired

So do I understand it right, that, it effectively says,

Along normal vector, if the distance of the viewpoint to the object is less than
(distance_desired/normvec_length), jump to label
?
