• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all,

New here, does anybody know if there is a Sikorsky S92 in the works for FS9/FSX?? Seriously lacking one! The one on x-plane is brilliant buy its x-plane only which is unfortunate considering the new Marine One is going to be an S92 & The Irish & UK Coast Guards are primarily S92 Operators.

Thanks for any & all replies.

What a beauty!

There is not one available. The showroom is also not an appropriate place to ask for addons - it is meant for developers to show what they have made. Since you've made it to forums aimed at helping others to get started with developing, you could always begin reading through the extensive information available here and learn how to make one yourself. ;)

Sorry, I didn't know where to post, it was my 1st post, feel free to move, also why is there not one???? It is a great machine that I am sure someone is capable of making?? When you consider the amount of Sikorsky aircraft on FS9/FSX there is out there, I am amazed it has not been done.

No biggie, I'm sure a moderator will relocate it to a more appropriate subforum eventually.

Why isn't there one? Probably because no one has been interested in doing it. Developers tend to make both what interests them and what would sell well. Personally, I don't see the S-92 selling well or being of great interest to many. Just look at the rather low number of helicopters available for FSX to begin with. For the record, I am very much interested in helicopters (more so than planes).

Let's also not forget what a big project modeling it would be. Then you have to texture it, do systems, digital displays, sounds, flight dynamics...it's a big project. It is no surprise at all that no one has done one.

Like I said before, I strongly suggest that you begin learning some form of addon development. Modeling is a great start - you can use GMax or Blender, which are both free. If you developed a model eventually, perhaps you could attract some other developers to help you on the more intricate parts of development (like coding). Just realize that because you think the aircraft is amazing doesn't mean that a developer is going to rush to work and make one. There's a lot more that influences aircraft choices than thinking something is pretty.

Sure, the Sikorsky S-92 was done for FSX as well as for FS9!
Check out Hovercontrol.com

I think you might be mixing up the Blackhawk with the S-92. They are two completely different aircraft. I've specifically searched the file library in both the FS9 and FSX aircraft categories for "S92" and S-92," and turned up no results.

Indeed, I meant Sikorsky in General, many Sikorsky aircraft made for FS9/FSX but none for FS9/FSX except for the S92 that was done years ago which is well past its sell by date.
