• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi FSDevelopers :)

I want to know how simmarket works? (the revenue)

Does they show each revenue for each airports? or the whole revenue?
Because I'll maybe host friend's sceneries (though Aviana Scenery) and I want to know how can I know how much my friend earn, to give him his part

I've previously worked with a trusted developer that sells there. All sales are listed, even sales that include more than one item, all items will be specified and at the month's end, the sales report will be generated and the items will be listed there individually too, so you'll see X copies of product Y was sold. The developer was very honest with me as he let me connect to him via teamviewer where he would login to his seller account and show me the sales report. This gave a sense of security for both of us as he did not have to disclose his password and for me that I know for sure the copies sold.

Simmarket are very good.

They will email you a monthly sales report.

You can also login to your vendor account with simmarket and look at the monthly report which will show each product you sell and how much were sold for that month.

They have their own installer that you can use (I haven't tried it) otherwise I use the clickteam one. I would imagine they send you an install maker program to create the installer from your files and that you would give them the installer that is created from the install maker program. That way you can test the installer yourself to make sure it is working correctly.

It is free to host your product. They take a commission on each sale, currently it is 30% of each item sold but this looks like a special offer for new vendors only otherwise it is 35%. If you sell exclusively through simmarket the commission is only 25%.

What the require is the installer file for your scenery (and a set of key codes if applicable so they can send a key code to a customer when they buy something), any screenshots and a product description for the product page.

I usually put these into zip files which the staff at simmarket can download.

The best thing you can do is contact them about selling (especially if you want to use their installer) if you have any further questions and I'm sure Miguel will be able to help you out.

SimMarket is awesome. Great team of people.

You will want to make your own compilers. Make sure they work, test them. SimMarket can do one for you, but you will need to get a bid on how much it will cost. Just email them and ask.
 
On a side note, be sure to setup your installer so it can install into FSX Accelleration, FSX Steam, P3D V1, and P3D V2. More business that way and easier for customers.
