Hi i have been creating my jetway with SODE and all out of sudden i get this error about the Animation Module. I tried reinstalling SODE, Reinstalling FSX, Restarting my PC, Disabling my Anti-virus and adding exceptions to the files with no luck the only thing that worked was going back qith a system restore to the previous day. I am on Windows 10 can you help me?

Hi,

This is the standard FSX panic mode when things go wrong during loading of add-on modules. Speaking for myself, I have not encountered this so far, maybe because I have not that much addons installed. I'm not sure if the root cause is known, but by googling the first sentence of the error message, you'll get some advise how to tackle the problem. It happens with a multitude of FSX modules and is most likely a bug within FSX.

Lately, fsdreamteam suggested a solution that sounds very promising: http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,12418.0.html
Try to move the SODE entry towards the top of the list in the dll.xml file. It seems that other modules, that are linked to an old version (RTM) of SimConnect and are loaded first (because they are at the top of the list) cause trouble for the next modules in line, which require a new SimConnect version.

I hope the suggestion above helps.

I have sent my scenery to someone and they said that when they uninstalled p3d, sode in fsx stopped working they checked the xmls and everything is fine the engine is running in the process but the objects aren't being placed in game any Idea?

What are the entries in the exe.xml file? Are the SimObjects present in the SimObjects/Misc subfolder?

They are there so I am not sure what is happening

<Launch.Addon><Name>SODE</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Path>E:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SODE\SimObjectDisplayEngine.exe</Path></Launch.Addon>

You wrote that the module is launching ok, but no objects are displayed. Can you attach the log file please? It resides in the same folder as the SODE main executable and is called SODE.log
