• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Simple red light

It looks to me like they've clustered 6 of these lights into each group to increase the brightness although from a short distance they appear as one. To get the brightness you see on the chimney you'll probably need to make 6 boxes in a cluster like that and attach the light to each one. I think this is pretty close although the flashing frequency may not be exact. I simply added the new flashing red light to the existing .bgl so now you have:

bgl_light_white: d726fd8c-d484-4717-0062-b96427a2ed55
bgl_light_red: 182054e4-e7d9-76a3-1bca-7d678a683eca
bgl_light_red_flashing: bcb60246-86f0-465b-a800-f183045bc5a8

You can rename the .bgl if you want. Be sure to delete the old .bgl so you don't end up with duplicate GUIDs.

Here is the mother lode on .bgl lights BTW if you want to fiddle with making your own:

Also somewhere is a file called "light point library" by Dick Ludowise (rhumbaflappy) which contains an assortment of these lights as well but I can't seem to find it, maybe Avsim or flightsim.com has it in the file library.

I'm glad they worked out for you, but I'd never been able to pull it off without the wealth of info here. Anything heroic is the cooperative effort of many :wizard:

You're quite welcome BTW :)
