• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Hi to all, i have a problem with Sketchup 3D objects in FSX. I found a tutorial on how to import Google Earth 3D objects into FSX via Sketchup and model converter but there are no textures on object once it is in FSX :/. I converted textures to .DDS and placed them into texture folder inside addon scenery but no help. Anyone knows about this issue Thanks in advantage

I guess you convert the texture inside MCX, before export, in the "update textures" tool. and then exported as Mdl file.

Is the BGL file in the Addon Scenery/scenery folder, and the DDS texture in the Addon Scenery/texture folder?

Ok, now i saw in EVENT LOG inside MCX a bunch of warning regarding textures.

"10:35 PM ObjectRenderer Warning The size of bosmal\Color_B08_.jpg is not a power of 2, this is required by FS"

This type of warning is showing for every texture... how do i set them to power of two???

K i figured it out how to use mas editor but now im facing another issue. Buildings are showing textures but some buildings have mixed textures on them. More correctly, textures are not on their corrent position on building

Problably have something to do with the correction of the textures, if the original ones was corrected in his format, size, this offset the texture. sorry to say problably you have to redo the mapping. this happen a lot in this hobby, but take care those be power of two: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, and 8192 here the mathematics again.

I haven't had to do that after changing texture sizes in the Mass Texture Editor?

If the textures are correct, MCX resize the textures proportionaly, but if the textures have incorrect size MCX will resize the textures as could, and this give wrong textures for the object. I guess all this because I think something similar have happened to me already.

Odd, I've never noticed a problem when it converted textures that weren't a power of two. I'll have to check those carefully from now on.

Thanks,

rarely happen, in some cases only. It's true that sometmes slip out some textures with the wrong size, and no problems, but from memory I think I have had to cope with such events.
