Sketchup to Blender Plugin

#1
Is there a good APP to import an airport project drawn in Sketchup 20** to Blender 2.*

When I follow along with Austin Sass Youtube video I do not get the same results, it does not show up in Blender. I suspect there is something I am missing.I am trying to save a 3d model.

Thanks

Randy

If you find that exporting as DAE is sometimes quirky, and that the textures sometimes do not play nicely, try exporting as a WaveFront OBJ. This is my personal preferred method.

Export with Texture Maps from Sketchup. Then Import in Blender with the following settings:

Also, consider the Batch Wavefront OBJ Import plugin for blender (last answer on page).

I agree with mousy. When bringing over Sketchup files in to Blender the best file type ive found is OBJ. Dae is ok on some small models as the textures can be corrected but on larger / complex one dae files dont play nicely at all when you look at some of the transferred textures
