• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v6 Sode Placer

If you've installed SODE, you should find a folder named P3Dv6 here (C:\Program Files (x86)\12bPilot\SODE).
And inside this P3Dv6 folder, there is an “add-on.xml” file.

Is that correct so far?

Found it. I have this type of folders in the folder SODE for my KATL folder.

Now go to C:\Users\“user name”\Documents\Prepar3D v6 Add-ons and create a folder named SODE there.

Now make a copy of the “add-on.xml” file located at C:\Program Files (x86)\12bPilot\SODE\P3Dv6 and copy this “add-on.xml” file to C:\Users\“user name”\Documents\Prepar3D v6 Add-ons\SODE.

Then launch P3Dv6. It will recognize the “add-on.xml” file and ask if you want to use it. Confirm by clicking “Yes.”
SODE should now work in P3Dv6.
When you open the menu bar at the top of P3Dv6, SODE should appear under Add-ons.

If it's displayed at the top in P3D, then SODE is also active.
What exactly is the problem?
Don't just write “SODE isn't working.”
A detailed description of the error, including screenshots, would be very helpful.

And, as you can see from this photo, I have no jetways at my KATL airport.
Who designed the airport?

General Information About SODE...
Under C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE, there are two folders:
- SimObjects (This is where all SODE 3D models belong)
- xml (This is where all SODE XML files belong)

The XML file is responsible for positioning the models.

Are there any files for KATL in that location?

Could you please start by attaching the XML file “ImagineSim_KATL3_PD5_Stands.xml” here or pasting it as text?
Then I can take a look at the XML file first.
