• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello, I get this error message that prevents me from being able to compile and load my 3D object made on blender, does anyone have an idea?

I understand MSFS-glTF doesn’t support that node.
In what format did you "send it back to sketchup" and "export" it? .dae?
(I’m a beginner in Blender and English)
Since my model is a repeating pattern, I assigned .png as the base color used the "texture coordinate” node to adjust its size and position (coordinates). (without unwrapping UV)
When blender2MSFS outputs the model, it uses a glTF extension called KHR_texture_transform, which does not seem to be supported by MSFS.

I export it as a gltf with the Blender2msfs plugin. I import it into Sketchup with this plugin - https://sketchucation.com/plugin/2275-universal_importer and this is the most reliable method to keep the textures and coordinates.

I export back to Sketchup as a .obj and usually don't change anything.

With this way you are setting all of the texture scaling inside Sketchup when you export back and none in Blender.

I find it a little strange the khr texture transform problem isn't mentioned more often. Surely most models have textures scaled in Blender and the plugin or sim can't handle it. Maybe there's another more obvious method I don't know about. I haven't found what it is.
