• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Please watch your tone and give me or the other users some time to reply! I just had a 60 minute Teamviewer session to help another user and can't be everywhere. Also there is a real life/job going on, so please be patient.
Also, in your latest posts, you were almost always able to solve the issue yourself because you missed some little step or didn't pay enough attention to some detail, which I am guessing is also the case here.
I never had that problem during all my static jetway creations so I can't help you directly. You could send me your gmax model per PM so I can run it here on my machine to see what the problem is.

Okay okay Jeffrey,
I´m clever enough to solve the Problems alone, but on that I have no Idea to solve that.

Thanks for the files.

My findings: This has nothing to do with the script, it is working flawlessly.
I inspected the HEAD_400 object and tried to export it separately, then the mdl exporter throws an error about it not being able to create crashboxes. Then I searched the forum about that error and found it has something to do with too small parts or attach points. Then I right-clicked the HEAD_400 object to see if there are attach point data in the "User-defined" section and voilà, there they were. Problem is that there was no attach point object belonging to that data anymore and so the gmax exporter failed/ignored the head.
Deleted the attach point data from the user-defined section and the export works and the head shows up in ModelConverterX.

Thank you Jeffrey - I will made a new HEAD_400 Object.
