Hey Arno,
I'm loving MCX and am enjoying it immensely, I think it's the swiss army knife of tools for MSFS...
I ran into one problem with one model I have and that is it uses TIFF imagery for the texture. MCX threw up an error and I'm wondering if TIFF imagery is supported in MCX or if you have a suggestion on how to convert the texture and assign it to a Sketchup model easily?
As mentioned I'm still having auto alpha channel problems on some flat planed, grayscale alpha transparencies. They are turning completely transparent... But I need to fiddle more and figure out what the story is there... The models are here <- lights and trees and here <- lights and sign.
Feature request 1... Is there any chance that you might be able to save a model you're converting as a workspace? That would be my biggest feature request is some models may take a few days work and it'd be really helpful to be able to save a workspace and come back to it later, especially if you're working on a big conversion and want to save as you go along in case of a power outage.
Feature request 2... Is there any chance of being able to have an manual export function to BGL that can place the object in a BGL (i.e. create one MDL BGL Library and then append the geolocation info to a scenery placement bgl), utilizing the lat/lon data from a KMZ file? Right now the automated tool works great for lat/lon placement but if you work manually on placement you have to load the KMZ model into Google Earth and extract the lat/lon information from there and then manually have to generate object placement via XML. An export and place feature would be extremely helpful...
