• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Some useful PBR resources

Thank you guys, materialize looks like just what I need to create simple shiny mostly glass buildings that are hero assets.

Don’t need anything more than that because they’re objects people are flying over rather than planes or airports.

Basically just need simple concrete or glass PBR designations, without all the other PBR whistles and bells.

I´ve been having a look into Materialize, and it´s AWESOME!!!!! I have downloaded a low qualy JPEG picture (you can see it below as the more red - "diffuseoriginal")

I just have a question in regards to the maps we need to build for MSFS and the Blender Add-on.

On the top right in Materialize , it looks like we can create a map for RGB that then we should be able to select in MSFS Textyure Map file if we make it match, and I think I´ve done it match with this configuration.

So, after doing some magic with Materialize , I´ve come with the following files...

Am I right that selecting the diffuse file Albedo; the Smoothness for Metallic:(Occlussion(R) Rougness(G), Metallic(B)) ; and finally the Normal for Normal as the three files needed in Blender should be enough?
This is the final result in Blender, and it looks pretty nice to me, but wondering if I´ve done something wrong...
It looks to easy compared to all the stuff that people uses to do either in photoshop or GIMP
