• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

split lights

I found the program that I was searching! Yesterday I created a Split light to put into runway 's holding point, a face green and face red, with variable nav1 frequency of 112.00 (1200h, see the photo). When I put the light I see the effect only on top-down view and lateral view, also without the frequency. Why I don't see it on cockpit view? Where is my mistake? The light must work on FSX\P3d 1.4.

Thanks

Andrea, to diagnose your problem, I need your library folder.

I don't know what you mean by "lateral view".

However, there is an issue with your PCL inputs. If you want frequency control, you've got to specify both limits. You have specified only the lower, leaving the upper set to 0. This won't work. Set them both to 1200. (I don't think you want the "h" which stands for hexadecimal). As it is, I'm surprised you see anything at all in the daytime.

I also tried 1200 on both, but not work, for lateral view see upload photo, if I move around the airplane I see the effect. I tried the effect during the night and I see it , I see the red and the green light, my problem is the red light that becomes green on cockpit view, when I pass with my airplane using the frequency.I upload my work with both 1200 ( without h).Thanks for your help

I think I see your problem. Split lights are generally used as threshold lights, and for that, the runway heading is what you want. But, you are using these lights at a hold-short location which is oriented 90 degrees from the runway heading. If you change the heading of the light from 150 to 240, you should see the red light when you approach from the taxiway side and the green from the runway side.

As for frequency, that is for pilot control of lighting. If you have 1200 in both fields and you select the Nav receiver that is tuned to 112.00, those lights will be on during the daytime if the user aircraft is within about 10km of the airport. The lights will always be on at night - unless airport operating hours dictate otherwise.

Thanks for your answer Don. I thought that these lights could be used also on hold short location as the lights that I seen in some pay scenery. I made a mistake!

All AFLT lights can be used anywhere. All you need do in this case is adjust the heading of the light as I suggested.

Hi Alan Where do I Find the wig wag light? Don I will follow your advices thanks

Thanks for your answer Don, I will try it...another question If I want that wig wag lights always work what do I put on Aiport operates? Is it true from 00:01 until 00:00?

You should not set airport operating hours unless you want the airport to be "dark" for some period. If the airport is not operating, all lights are off.
