• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi Guys and Gals..

I'm wondering if it's possible to Raise a section of Terrain or lower it? I'm busy with a project that requires several bridges that either cross over a road or railway.

is there a program and possibly a tutorial, perhaps a post or two reqarding lifting specific areas that are desired for instance for a road that is at a different level to another or to allow a bridge to cross a road below. ?

I hope there's an easy solution besides modelling this ..

SBuilderX will allow you to make sloping polygons.

Hi Meshman,

Are there any tutorials within regard to doing this? would it be possible to do the following? I've attached two images from GE. the 2nd image with the purple line is a highway off ramp that I want to make slope up from the freeway branching off onto a second set of roads feeding the airport i'm modelling. also I'm wanting for the roads to be able to go under or above roads as in reality. just hope fsx would support this.

Image with the coloured lines - Purple indicates the road I'm wanting to make slope up over to a bridge crossing over the highway in green. The image with the Purple dots, indicate where I'm wanting for roads to be lower than the roads above that I can have level bridges not the ^ type of bridges... and possibly having my own bridges if that's possible as one bridge has to be built from scratch as it has intricate rigging detail to it, unless I build something that I can carefully align to an existing bridge.
