• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Texture files

Where can I get all the texture files that go with the GP polys and Lines? I am missing some of the Patterns such as the angled parking and choosing any of the Taxiway marks only leave me with a black line.
The updated texture files dated the 23 of June don't appear to have what I am looking for.

Thanks,
Alan

The standard "texture "starter set includes 20 textures. I presume that's what you have. Beyond that, you need to consider creating your own textures - or persuade other users to make theirs available to you.

EDIT: If it's any help to you, you can make angled parking by distorting the non-angled parking texture using the GP editor.

I have the 20 texture files listed in the ones to chose from, but the last one titled 'taxiway marks' only gives me a black line or poly. I have no displayable textures for this one.

Also, how do I get the parking spaces large enough for a car to fit in?

Thanks,
Alan

As mentioned in the manual, if you want to use the standard taxiway markings, you must first copy the texture taxiway)marks.bmp from the FlightSim texture folders. This is a Micdrosoft texture and the FlightSim EULA does not allow me to distribute it.

As for parking spaces, draw the poly outline at whatever size you want in ADE, then apply the top section of the gp_Patterns texture, scaling it to get whatever number of parking spaces you want to fit in the poly.

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry, I missed seeing that portion in the manual. ( better put on my better glasses:eek:)

Thanks for the parking spaces answer. I'll try that right away.
