FS2004 Texture problem after using MCX Ground Poly Wizard

Hey Guys,
I'm having a little problem that I tried searching for a fix last night on here for around 2 hours straight and couldn't find anything. But anyway I run my ground poly for fs2004 through the ground poly wizard (and I should point out everything looks fine when I import the x file into MCX) but anyway after I convert it to a bgl, in sim some textures show in the wrong position, here is an example of exactly what it does once its in sim!

Any help is appreciated!

Hi,

I am not sure if I understand the problem from the picture. What I see in the picture is that everything is shifted a bit, is that your problem?

Yeah it seems that the tiles from the left end of the aerial have shifted to the right side! But when in 3dsmax/ MCX it all shows up correctly as it should.

It shows up like this when I convert and put it in sim.

Hi,

Did you let the ground polygon wizard convert the textures as well or did you do that manually? In the last case, could it be the textures in your texture folder are different from those used in 3ds/MCX?

I did it manually with imagetool, but I will try and let the ground poly wizard convert them for me and report back! Thanks for the idea, because I have ran out of ideas of what it could be! lol

So Arno, I tried having MCX convert the textures for me in the Ground Poly Wizard and it crashes, it must be because of the number of textures for the ground poly, in total there are 160 at 1024x1024.. Any more ideas?

Hi,

Does modelconverterx load the textures from the same folder as FS does, or are they two different versions? In the last case I am wondering if the files in those folders might be named differently.

I haven't seen a problem before where modelconverterx shifted textures around.

You were right I was wrong! I have no idea how the file names got mixed up but it is now working! Thanks man, you saved the day!
