Texture Question

Don't know if this is the right forum to post this question but here it is.

Using FSDS V 3.5.1 I've designed an old Style army barracks with a white texture. It looks

just fine in the photo editor and just fine in FSDS but when I get it into FSX instead of

white it looks grey.

What I do is edit the texture in Photoshop CS5 and save as a 24 bit bmp.

Then load that bmp into DXTBMP

Send it to CS5 for more editing, and then save as norm

Then back to DXTBMP and reload after edit

Save the texture as an extended BMP

Boot FSX and like I said, instead of white it's grey.

Can anyone tell me how to get this texture to show up as white.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. When I tried saving as a 24 bit bmp all parts of the barracks that used that texture didn't show up.

Maybe it is just the that the texture is lost, the object is without texture, any way I always recommend to look the object with Modelconvertex to check this Kind of things. it can give you more clues or ideas about what the problem is. not see any problem in the creation of the texture.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've narrowed it down to shadows causing the problem. Had the sim set to noon with the sun directly overhead. The roof overhang is causing a shadow to be cast over the sides of the structure and that's what's causing the white to be grey.

I will run it through Modelconvertorx just to be sure. Thanks again.
