• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Textures in ModelConvertX

If I'm running Windows XP, when I open the menu "Mass texture editor" it is not enabled "recize" and "convert." But I found a way for both are enabled, going to "Special Tools" - "Texture Converter" and from there go to the folder where are the textures of the model, I click on one of them and then close the window. Back to "Mass texture editor" and now, "recize" and "convert" are enabled. Then I do the conversions and save it where you want to.
But if I'm working with Windows 7, appears the same problem and I can not find any way to do it.

Hi,

Do you see the textures on the model? If they can not be found the mass texture editor can not resize or convert them either.

No Arno. I can not see the textures in the model, I only see the model without textures. I don't know the way to see it in ModelconvertX.

Go to Options in MCX (Options tab at bottom left). Then Texture Options. Add your texture's path to the Texture Search Path.

I really wish MCX had a way to just browse to the images when they cannot be found. I don't always want to add them to the path...

Hi,

That might be a nice idea to browse for them.

Personally I always use the same structure for my projects, so the default settings work fine for me.

Arno:
I put the textures in the same folder as the models, and everything works fine.
