Texturing Problem

Hi Everyone!

I have been having problems with my texturing in FSX. All of my textures that I have been applying to a test model is giving me a very large and dull looking specular hot spot. I can not figure out what my problems is. I have been working on this problem for about a week now. I thought at first that it may be because I am using Gimp to make my textures. So I purchased Adobe Photoshop. It did not fix my problem. So, I decided to check and see if it maybe my FSX material settings. So what I did was I copied a version of the piper cubs textures into my models texture folder and re-named it to work with my model. I was not worrying about it not being UV correctly. I just wanted to see if it gave me the specular hot spot problem that I was having with my other texture. When I tested it in FSX it did not have the specular hot spot. So that tells me that it has to be a problem with how I am making my texture.

I do not know what I am doing wrong.

Below I have attached images of my diffused and alpha that I am testing for the model. I have also attached images of how I have the material and texture setup in Blender.

I thank you for any help I can get.

Thanks, Kris

I exported my texture after applying the layer mask as a DXT5 format.

Hi F747fly!

Thanks!

I have made some progress with texturing with Blender and the Blender2FSX tools set. I found a couple problems with the tool set. I have made modifications to the tools set to fix errors that you can get by entering wrong values in FSX materials settings. My modified file can be downloaded in the Main Blender2FSX post. Below is an image of what the test aircraft looks like now.
