• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

When the sample images are zoomed out I can see the entire sample. For example, this is a screenshot of the right panel (I am using the split panel screen), You can see some areas of water in the center of the image. For reference, you can see a red point I placed on one of them. Now to its right is a water area that I have not placed a point along the right edge of the sample.

Now I zoom in using one click of my mouse wheel and looking at the same area with the sliders all the way to the right, the water area to the right of the red point is missing.

I would think that I should be able to see the entire sample when I use the sliders. Speaking of zoom... is the zoom at 50%? Can a user adjust that? I would like the option to zoom in, say 10% per each mouse wheel click. That way with my larger display I can zoom in yet still see my entire sample. Would allow me not to have to keep zooming in and out as I move about a sample and, what would be even better, if I could save the zoom as a default zoom level when I open TFE. Just a thought.
 
Let me see if I can reproduce this, I can't remember I have seen this before. Looks like you can't scroll far enough to see all.

I think the zooming is now implemented as a factor 2 or 0.5 for each step. So that you don't get half pixels and so. But I can check if that can be made configurable.
 
Hi,

I finally had a look at this issue. It seems to be a bug in the control that is used, but that is not my own code. When panning with the mouse (right button drag) it is possible to pan to the end. I have made the panning a bit more smooth when looking at this. That will be in the next development release.

FYI - heavy testing on the new scenProc TML version. So far very-very promising results. :p Plan to give you a report in several weeks with my findings.
 
Hi,

I have just implemented the finer zoom control. When you keep the control key down while zooming (either with the mouse wheel or the zoom buttons) it will happen with a smaller step (default is factor 2, with control it will use factot 1.1). It will be in the next development release.
