• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

The Ghost Project

my tu-154 project

Updates for the so called "Ghost Project" but unfortunately, no pictures until someone eventually realizes what the project is. I will provide "peeks" in videos on my youtube channel when demonstrating new features/progress of the current dc8 project on my other thread.

This one ought to have the suspense shocker rolling, what aircraft could it be? It is a historic jetliner but which one, what company makes it, does it fly low or does it fly high? I'll leave you all to decide and speculate among yourselves, lol.

Today's update is, the 3-views have been accurately setup now and I think modeling this will be fun and entertaining. I had a completed nose section but like I said on my previous dc8 post, I screwed up the 3-views and they were out of alignment by about 4 pixels, oh yeah, when you mess up like that, it will cost you big time down the road! Better to get the 3-views right as long as it takes before you start the modeling.

I'll give everyone a HINT; This aircraft has the wings of a 777 fully flexed in flight only you should turn your head upside down to get a better picture.

I know that HINT sucks but oh well, have fun figuring it out, lol!

Later folks! :-]

Oh boy, this is going to be interesting, lol. I should be finishing the nose section this week. I'm trying to complete the basic model and then finalize work on the DC8 flaps so I can do a feature video. I would say maybe 1 month from now, I wish I could go faster but I'm taking my time with the new puppy.

So far no one has guessed it. :-]

Here is another hint for the day; It climbs like a rocket and engages reverse thrust before it touches down on occasion.

If someone get its right, I may go public with picture updates next week but again, I don't think many will be too excited anyway.

First flight in 1968?

Well, it's either quite fast or quite large then.

Is it a HS Trident?

Second that, it's the only aircraft I can think of where reverse thrust was regularly applied prior to touchdown. By the non-flying pilot, which must have made for some interesting crew co-operation...

Maybe someone have given the correct answer.

Negative, it is best if we wait for the video preview which is long away and besides, this bird has just begun to materialize, barely nothing worth showing in gmax other than a bunch of splines and some nice detailed 3-views.

You guys can keep guessing but even if someone guesses correct answer, I wont unveil anyway until the video date.

As I said, there are actually already good renditions of this aircraft for both FS9 and FSX, my choice of doing it is purely for fun and to bring something new to HJG as well.

Eh.... C-5? I know it's first flight was in '68, and they can deploy r/t before touching down. It also has some pretty crazy wings that are positioned the opposite way of the 777. Maybe the nose is causing a little bit of trouble since the nose opens up on the C-5?

Just throwing out a guess :)

Your way off there! The wing root of this aircraft is located at bottom of fuselage, not the top! ;)
