• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Years ago in FS9 to make a AI Ship go from one piont to another some of us used AFCAD and let the ship follow the Taxi/Appron route till it reached the hold or start location of the runway.
Can this same procedure be followed in FSX.
I have seen programs AIBTC but don't think users are getting the same results as the AFCAD method.
What would you use.

what do you mean as "not are getting the same results" what advantages could have afcad on aibtc? sorry but the matter interest me.

Maybe I'm just old school and so familiar with FS9 methods, I have tried AIBTC but don't seem to have much luck with it.
FSX is the way forward but takes us older guys a little longer.

All right ;), yes, Aibtc is a little unstable I can understand you perfectly, I finished making routes about two hours long, and almost in stright line, I haven't got the hang of this totally yet. And someday could happen you see a ship climbing a mountain :D .

I have no problem with AIBTC except for ferry docking in a confined space. The is not a problem with AIBTC but with the FSX AI engine.

Here are two routes, Tyne to Bergen and Tyne to Rotterdam.

BTW. I do not use Google Earth to create the KML file.

I have since had a chat with a very kind and patient Simmer who has explained the process from Google to Plan to Boat to Flight Plan FSX.
My first test has shown great results.
Its a very quick and simple method.
Thanks for all your help.

Seems my Ship shows up but don't move.
Here is the plan being used.

AC#1,B72168,0%,24Hr,08:59:58,18:37:50,1600,normal,ferry,01:21:01,10:58:53,1600,reverse,ferry

AI should start at 08;59;58 or as near 0900hrs but to reach end some 9hrs 37mins later.
As 24hr is assigned should this be a every day.

Can you see any fault within this plan.

cheers guys for your help.

The first thing I see is that you have traffic % set to zero. Usually this should be 1 to 100.

The second is that the return journey starts before the outward trip.

I would suggest that you start the first leg at 01:00 and the second leg at 11:00 or slightly later.

Don't forget that the two legs take approximately 20 hours to complete and, since you are specifying a 24hr repeat, they must both start and end on the same day.

GHD,that did the trick,I should have known better on long journeys you need to extend the "time scale" to allow return journey, just like AIFP in FS9.

The % didn't make any difference, think this is the % users need to set to see the AI.

AC#1,B72168,0%,4Hr,01:00:00,01:50:40,1600,normal,ferry,01:59:57,02:50:37,1600,reverse,ferry

The red shows departure time/arrival for the first leg.>>>>>
The green shows departure time/arrival for second leg.<<<<<

All good now thanks for help.
