• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Three View Help Please ?

Hi All,

I have been vigerously searching for a 3 view sey of plans for a Beagle Basset B-206 without any luck. Its a super plane in my opinion and would love to be able to start on it, could anyone please help me ?

If i don't have three views is there any other way to develop the fuse etc ?

Thankyou.

Thanks Felix & My apologies for not finding it myself, I've not seen this site before.

The 3 view diagram lines seem a bit faint though, but will see what i can do,

Thanks again !

I know I have a better view of it (probably the same 3v) at home, where I'm not right now.

That site is a treasure trove for me. I have a certain fascination for British Lightplanes of the interwar era, and those issues capture much of the aviation exploration that permeated those early days (who needs more than 30hp to fly fast anyway?)

Thanks Felix,

I've adjusted the contrast slightly so that the black lines appear darker, In GMAX it's not to bad, though some of the lines are faint, the wings in particular, but i can refer to the other images in the .pdf.

Thankyou !

Thanks again,

I have the fuse and the left wing made, i remember seeing a tutorial around for creating the wing root, to merge the wing into the fuselage, can't seem to find it, any ideas please ?

Regards.

ONE of the methods is to use the "connect" compound function.

Basically, create a spline-shape out of the your wing's endcap edges.

using that spline-shape, change the shape of that spline to what the projection of the root would be against the fuselage.

Do a shape merge operation so that your wing-root shape is now projected against the fuselage.

cutout the polygons in the fuselage - now you have a wing-root "hole"

MAke sure that your wing part is in place (although not touching the fuselage) -

making sure that your wing end-cap is open (not capped), select the fuselage and do a "connect" operation with the wing part. Adjust the sliders to get a "close enough" shape, and adjust.

Naturally, someone else is going to come around and show an even easier method.

or something like it... (now you know why I model aircraft that don't have fancy wing root fairings, etc.... I'll not be doing any DC_3s or Spitfires anytime soon)...

Thanks Felix,

Will certainly give that a few attempts.

I also thought i had seen a tutorial, but perhaps not.
