• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

At first hello to everyone :)

Im totally new to this whole FSX Editing stuff .....
done a few ac repaints but thats it .....

It will be so nice when you guys can tell me whats programs do i need to create scenery like airports .....

I want to simply just put our VA´s logo on a few Airport buildings .... but i guess it inst that "easy" :)

I was looking around the forums to find the way myself but it seems like it works on a list of programms and their certain issues ...... not directly with certain problems but the ones dealing with th program.

If you can tell me what program to get to be able to draw on buildings.

Hi Felix,

As you already say, putting a logo on a building is indeed not as simple as it might sound. As you can not edit existing buildings to add something to them, so you have two options basically:

  1. Make a simple plane with your logo on it and place that close to the building
  2. Create a whole new building yourself with your logo already on it

For both options you need two kind of tools. One to make the object (simple plane or a building). For this GMax might be a good choice. And of course another tool to place it. I would suggest WhisPlacer for that.

If you also want to alter the airport layout itself, take a look at the ADE and FSX Planner tools.

i already downloaded the fsx planner which doesnt look toooooo
dificult if you spend some time with it ...
i´m trying to get my hand s on gmax and whisplacer
to get this thing rolling ....

at least i do now know what programs to use :)
