Hey guys!
For the last couple of months I've been experimenting with photogrammetry. I managed to take about 2.000 pictures (probably way too many, but I was learning something new every time I took of) with my Mavic 3 of the town I live in, cleaned that up, split it in tiles, createed LODs and imported that into the sim. It's been a journey but it's finally working, even on my mid tier machine.
Now I'm wondering whether I can get traffic on top of my photogrammetry model's roads. The model matches the terrain underneath very closely, but obviously not perfectly. That's why cars driving on the terrain underneath aren't visible or clipping through the model at best. So I'd basically like to define a road in the sim, so that cars drive on the photogrammetry roads.
Or would I have to exclude roads from the photogrammetry? How is asobo handling this? Do they keep roads in the photogrammetry of cities, or do they exclude them? It would obviously save on texture and mesh complexity to not have it included in the model. But I'd also be a pain to remove them
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
