    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Transparency in textures FSX

I have a problem where I can't get the alpha layer transparency to work correctly in FSX with my Boston scenery. It looks like the picture below.

The transparency works but it goes right through buildings and autogen. Please let me know if anyone has any answers.

I trust you are using the FSX gamepack to export your models, and have set up the extended FSX parameters for the material.

It would help to know what you are exporting the objects with, and your workflow.

ModelconverterX offers a lazy 'set default transparent' option that fixes most of these issues.

Thanks...I think I got it...however there's still a faint small black line on one of the transparencies. I'm going to try to redo the alpha layer

If you get a thin black line it might be down to the UVW mapping...

Nudge the mapping away from the edges a few pixels. For some reason it sometimes displays a little bit from the opposite edge.
