FSX Trouble Fixing Surface Normals

On some of my my models I have a polygon or two with the Surface Normal Indicator on the wrong side. When I try the Fix Surface Normals function the faulty polygon turns transparent and will not display a texture. The Surface normal indicator does move to the correct side.

I can provide details on how I've tried to work around the issue but I think it would only confuse the matter. Have I missing something basic.

How do you Fix Surface Normals? Is it easier to just remake the part?

Thanks.

I know you are using FSX, but for FS9, when I get a surface normals error, the only fix I've found is to split the part into at least two separate parts so that the polys are not co-located in the same part.

Hope that helps but again, might be different for FSDS FSX designs.

The polygon surface pointer is pointing the wrong way? INstead of fix surface normals try this-

I poly mode click poly menu at top, click on "flip". If that doesn't do it hit undo the poly again and click 'flip all selected". Bob
