Hi everyone.
Oil temperature in MSFS seems to work as in FSX, with same variables:
- Oil Cooling Constant: (left it at 0 although like in FSX it doesn't seem to do anything)
- Oil Heating Constant: gives maximum oil temperature in Rankine
- Oil Time Constant: sets the settling time (both for heating and cooling)
- Oil Tuning (Scale) Constant: scaling factor
As you can see, we can set the maximum temperature but I can't find a way to set the minimum settling temperature when engines are running at maximum thrust. So for example, if I set max temperature at 90 º Celsius (at Idle), when I push throttle to its maximum TOGA detent, oil temperature settles at around 65 ºC. That 25 º delta is maintained with changes in the maximum oil temp (so if I set it to 100 ºC, the minimum temp will be around 75ºC). Is there a way to set maximum temp at 90ºC and minimum at 75ºC (15º delta)??
Thanks!
