Hi All...
I've got a couple of issues plaguing me, thought someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.
[1] Steerable nose gear. I'm doing a project in FSDS 3.0 (18-wheel log truck) that requires truning wheels and steerable front wheels. I managed to "borrow" some samples from the FSDS package and got the turning wheels working fine...but not steerable wheels. I tried their "HELP" examples...tried every one of their demo/sample projects...downloaded several projects from SimViation...tried using several different reference aircraft in creating the model. Nuthin'. I can't get a single one of them to turn that nose wheel with the rudder. Given how many I've tried and all the screwy combinations, I have to assume that at least one of them must have had a steerable noese wheel...which means I'm probably doing something wrong (or not right) when creating the model in FSDS. Anyone know what I'm missing? Or can anyone possibly tell me where I might find a project that does...for sure...have a steerable nose wheel?
[2] A very old topic here, I suspect: Landing lights. Is there a reasonably simple way to do landing lights in FSDS 3.0? I found a couple of tutorials that would require bona fide genius to understand them. FSDS 3.0 has been around for a while; seems like there should be something out there that a layman could understand. Maybe someone has a working project they'd like to swap? How about a very nice log truck that you can drive at night only if you bring a flashlight along?
Anyway, that's my two issues...
Thanks in advance for any ideas, suggestions, or whatever.
