• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum

Type N jetway problem

Hey guys,

Making a Type A jetway is pretty easy and straightforward.. but Type N seems to be giving me issues.

This is a noseloader type jetway which can extend and move up and down. Everything seems fine until you try to dock. The jetway just goes straight down and doesn't extend.

I can fix the extension by editing the jetway.cfg

From this
Code:
bridge_dip = -16.0505, nan.0

To this:
Code:
bridge_dip = -16.0505, 10

The jetway then extends, but dips all the way down. Here's an image with all my settings and the resulting screenshot:

Mir,
could you send me the max model through PM? I don't like that nan.0 result from the script...
Thanks

Jeffrey was kind enough to look at my files and resolve the issue. I will post the solution in case anyone runs into this issue:

Problem 1: The LEG_EXT and LEG_STATIC need to have their pivot points centered in the middle of them. I had them at the root of the jetway

Problem 2: Bridge_B cannot extend past Bridge_A's edge near the root of the jetway. The "unseen" area of Bridge_B must be "inside" of Bridge_A.. if that makes sense.

Hope this helps!
