• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Ooooo, fancy :D

That looks real cool... I wish I knew half of what you guys do regarding xml programming....

Very nice!

The UNS-1Fw is actually a C++/GDI+ gauge programmed by another team member. My responsibility is solely the 3d mesh and button -> C gauge integration.

I dumped XML ages ago....busy working hard to get Bill over to the darkside for some other stuff :D .

I will say Bill is a GURU when it comes to FsDevelopment!

Why, you ask?

Well, he know tons of things and most important of all he is willing to share it with us!

Think what a wonderful community we would have if people like CS, PMDG etc would be so kind to share there knowledge with us.

Btw, can't wait for the 737-200 to be released.
Just my kind of aircraft.
And the part of all it will come with the Sperry 177!

Well, C++ then :) either way, good work... Every time I think I want to get into A/C design, I see its a whole new ballgame...

...someday, oh well...

nice job!

Hello Bill,

Just wondering whether you got to use the font I noted on Milviz forums, or whether it was something different in the end. If you have some pictures of the FMC in working state, perhaps I can identify the font.

Hello Bill,

The font being used is uns1.ttf, and is encrypted into the compiled gauge itself, so no separate font file is required to be installed.

This is the font the Universal UNS-1Fw trainer software uses.
