• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

uvw mapping some parts.and testing textures in sim....

after almost filling the first sheet with lots of parts, i am now getting on export 3 warnings..

node exterior has a texture applied, but has no uv coordinates...

node attachpt fx landing 2......

node attachpt fx landing 3.....

fsx/acc.gmax 1.2.md3..lith..paintshop pro..

node 2 and 3 are on the main gear which hasnt been mapped or exported..

node exterior is all but invisible....and its all been perfect up till now..

what does this mean,as it still seems to export ok...?? jim

.......

I turn the warnings off for LithUnwrap export...! If the map is spaghetti-free in LithUnwrap, that does me just fine.

Nodes like exterior don't need texturing and so don't need exporting to Lith.

HTH, Tom

thanks

this warning only comes up in gmax upon export..but not in lith...

from what you say, i realise what is occuring...i guess they have been exported to the tex sheet...

i can ignore or fix.....fix is easy..doing too many things at once...vc is going to take some work..ime using photos..drawings..pilots notes...and a fabulous
1.32 scale model of an f6 cockpit...the detail is amazing, including metal panel components....as well as access to a static f6 at my local aeropark...

ide better do a good job...as my old dad says....success means nothing, failure, now thats something really worth aiming for......cheers jim

Select all three nodes. Use the Tool Tab, Remove Materials to fix 'em up.
